Sakura season is here and Japan is definitely the best place to go to if you want to catch a the beautiful sight of these pink flowers. We have prepared a list of places in Japan where you can enjoy the best view of these beautiful flowers.

1) Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden

One of the best places for sakura viewing is actually located in the heart of the biggest metropolis in Japan. The Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden in Tokyo is one of the best, if not the best place in Tokyo for sakura viewing. The 58 hectares garden has well over 1,000 sakura trees, making it the perfect place for sakura viewing.

2) Shiba Park

Located at the foot of Tokyo Tower, Shiba Park has around 200 sakura tree. Take a seat at the Maruyama Fountain or Benten Pond and relax as you engage in sakura viewing with the bright orange symbol of Tokyo jutting up in the background.

3) Ueno Park

For a couple of months each year you can get to enjoy 2 Japanese national icon at the same place as Mount Fuji is surrounded by sakura. From Fuji Five Lake, you can get a great view of both Mount Fuji and the sakura around it while sipping on some traditional japanese tea.

6) Osaka Castle

With over 4000 cherry trees are planted around the entire Osaka Castle Park, this is one of the most most popular spot to have a pinic while enjoying the view of the sakura.
